While many designers tried to make their Spring/ Summer 2012 collections feminine and smart Isabel Marant put her creative force into comfy clothing that could be ideal for a girl who spends most of her time travelling.

Isabel Marant focused on designing loose sweaters knitted from shredded old sweatshirts, hoodies, tank dresses, leached jackets and pants, sleeveless tees and hotpants in her Spring/ Summer 2012 collection.

‘The Robber Bridegroom’ earns our laughter and approval

The theater world is populated with well-written plays and musicals that for whatever reason have never quite caught on. That means devotees of particular playwrights and composers may wish to revisit some of their lesser produced works.

For fans of playwright Alfred Uhry, “The Robber Bridegroom” would be worth seeing. The somewhat obscure musical reached Broadway in 1975 and helped launched Uhry’s career as well as those of stars Kevin Kline and Patti LuPone.

New York Fashion Week: DKNY Spring/ Summer 2012

Although personally I prefer elegance and sophistication when it comes to fashion sometimes simplicity and comfort are what we actually need. And there was a lot of that in DKNY Spring/ Summer 2012 collection showcased during New York Fashion Week.

Donna Karan opted for simple flowing silhouettes, light fabrics and beautiful accessories.

Two days of polka, bier, brats, live music and more bier provide a warm welcome for the fall season.
