Norman was exposed to the world of business at the early age of 20, after graduating with a Diploma in Accountancy. Together with his brothers, he formed a Hip Hop / R&B group named as KRU and was signed to EMI for 14 years. Armed with a vision, he put to practice the knowledge he had accumulated together with his natural instincts and flair for marketing to bring KRU’s pop icon band name into a prominent entertainment brand.
His vision and strategic leadership has earned him the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award in 2007 from the Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Awards and Asia-Pacific Copyright Educator Award from the Motion Pictures Association in 2011.
Norman currently holds the position as Chairman of Recording Industry Malaysia, Board Member of IFPI Asia and Council Member of World Independent Network.
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining KRU Music, Rizal fostered a career in programming and content at Astro Radio (formerly known as AMP Radio Networks) from 2004 to 2015. In his 11 year tenure at Astro Radio, he developed and produced content for 4 of Malaysia’s best known radio stations.
He started off as a Music Executive at Xfresh FM from August 2004 to January 2008 where he programmed the station’s music and content that appealed to teenagers aged 15-19 years. He also served as the Assistant Content Manager at Era FM, Malaysia’s no.1 Malay radio station, from February 2008 to November 2012 where he also briefly produced the no.1 morning show with Datuk Aznil Hj Nawawi and the late Din Beramboi in 2010. He was then assigned to be the Assistant Content Manager at Hitz.fm, Malaysia’s no.1 English radio station, from December 2012 to September 2013 and simultaneously managing the first online radio station by Astro Radio, XFM.
After 10 years in the field, he was promoted to Content Manager for Sinar FM from October 2013 to December 2014, where he helmed one of the biggest morning radio shows in Malaysia, Sinar Pagi, hosted by Salih Yaacob, Raja Azura and Khairil Rashid.
Nurulizati’s first job in the accounting line was an ‘Audit Assistant’ at a local audit consultant company from soon after she received her Diploma and Degree in Accountancy from Universiti Teknologi MARA on 2008. She then joined another local audit consultant company in 2010 as a ‘Semi Audit Senior’ until March 2015. She dealt with various types of accounts such as contract income, restaurants, rental, hotel business, etc.
Nurulizati joined KRU Music in April 2015 and became part of the accounting team. She is responsible for managing Music accounts including budgeting, financial analysis, management account, etc.
In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, listening to music, singing and spending time with her family. Her outgoing personality helps her blend in with her colleagues well.
Mohd Fahami Ghazali had served as a Public Relations Officer (PRO) at a commercial radio station, Suria FM, under the Star Radio Group in 2008-2011. He started his career immediately after completing his studies at University Technology MARA in Bachelor of Mass Communication specializing in Public Relations. In 2011, he switched his career from a PRO to Artiste Management in a leading broadcasting company, Astro. He was the Associate for Music, Talent & Endorsement responsible for all artist endorsement, shows, A&R matters that involves Astro’s Talents such as Akademi Fantasia students, Ceria Pop Star contestants, exclusive Astro actors, actresses, hosts and so on. He has over 8 years of experience in the field of music and entertainment. Fahami is also a committee member of the Recording Industry Music Malaysia (RIM). Currently he is appointed as the Head of Talents in KRU Music where is he responsible for managing all talents signed to KRU Music talent managment.
Noraida Abdul Rahman
Noraida Abdul Rahman, Malaysia, age 29, holds a Degree in Business specializing in Finance from University Technology Mara (Dungun). She started her carrier at KRU Studios on the 3rd of May, 2011. Throughout the years, she had served as an Administration Executive where she handled staff operations, product development, handling suppliers, managing company files and agreements before she was appointed as a Senior Executive in Administration & Publishing Division in January 2015. She is currently responsible for music licensing for all music under the KRU Music’s catalogue and manages publishing for writers and composers under KRU Music. She is the liaison between KRU Music and Music Authors Copyright Protection (MACP) and Recording Performers Malaysia Berhad (RPM).
