The Adele roadshow continues. Now that the British soul singer has whipped her bout with laryngitis, her North American tour that was put on the shelf due to illness is up and rolling once more.
Adele has rescheduled 14 shows, and added six more to the itinerary. Her next appearance will be on Aug. 9 at the Orpheum Theater in Vancouver, British Columbia. Check below to see the complete schedule!
The six new dates include Las Vegas; Atlantic City, N.J.; Durham, N.C.; Orlando, Fla.; Miami and Spring, Texas. Rockabilly singer Wanda Jackson will appear on the bill for her August dates, but not for the October trek.
It really has been an Adele kind of year hasnt it? The singer’s sophomore album, 21, has spent 10 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold more than 2 million copies since its release in February.
In the UK, the album has spent more time at the top of the charts than any female artist in history.
Pollstar.com notes that Adele’s medical misfortune began when a case of laryngitis forced her to postpone a single date – May 26 in Minneapolis. Adele did soldier on in Denver two nights later, but the illness kept the best-selling singer less than 100%, so the Salt Lake City gig was shelved and quickly the remaining dates on the tour.
Its nice to see shes back in action! She must have been counting the days until she could get back on the road. So bummed she had to sidelined she added six new dates to the tour! Take that swelling and irritation of the voice box!
