Glastonbury saw a violent clash last night between tax protesters and security guards.

Angry over ‘s alleged tax-dodging, the group Art Uncut unveiled a gigantic inflatable emblazoned with the slogan ‘U Pay Tax 2′.

After campaigners attempted to spread it through the crowd, the security team sprung into action and, after an initial violent struggle, managed to deflate and confiscate the balloon.

One protester is quoted by Metro as saying: “Political activism used to belong at Glastonbury. This was all going to be completely peaceful.”

Noted for his cynical political views, Morrissey also used the stage to strike another blow at prime minister David Cameron, whom he branded a “silly twit”.
