“The Moon and the Sky Remix,” a new version of Sade’s “Soldier of Love” track featuring Jay-Z, leaked online today , before it is released on the group’s best-of compilation “The Ultimate Collection” on May 3.
“Smoke and mirrors clouding my vision, we hit a wall/Couldn’t see the moon and the sky behind the fall,” Jay raps over the English R&B group’s simmering beat. Along with the Jay-Z collaboration, the 29-track “Ultimate Collection” features a remix of Sade’s “By Your Side” courtesy of the Neptunes.
The original version of “The Moon and the Sky” opens up “Soldier of Love,” Sade’s first album in a decade that topped the Billboard 200 last year and has sold 1.3 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
