Johnny Depp helped Alice Cooper bring his UK tour to a close in style by joining the shock-rock veteran on stage in London on Sunday night, June 26. While thousands gathered at Glastonbury, Cooper took to the stage at the capital’s intimate 100 Club, but it was to be no ordinary gig.

Before the show, Cooper posted a photo on Facebook of Depp backstage, guitar in hand, along with the caption, “Johnny Depp!! Waiting to jump on stage with Alice for ’18′ and ‘Schools Out!’”

A reunion of sorts –- the two appeared together in the 1984 horror movie ‘Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare’ –- Depp was introduced by Cooper with the words, “I think we could use another guitar player, right? Johnny, this whole movie thing … If it doesn’t pan out, join us, okay?”, The Sun reports.

Depp proceeded to lend his guitar skills to ’18′ and Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick in the Wall,’ which gave way to ‘School’s Out’.
Judging by the reaction on Twitter, fans were more than impressed by Depp’s music credentials. One fan wrote, “Johnny was playing the guitar and he can bloody play too!” while another tweeted, “So the Alice Cooper special guest at the 100 Club was Johnny Depp and the boy can play.”

For Depp. it wasn’t his first foray into professional music. The 48-year-old actor has contributed guitar on Oasis track ‘Fade In-Out’ and also performed on Shane McGowan’s debut solo album.
