
Gil Scott-Heron passed away in NYC earlier today. The soulful spoken-word artist, best known for 1970s The Revolution Will Not Be Televised, experienced a resurgence in popularity with last years Im New Here, his first new album in 16 years. Jamie xx produced a remix of the album that was released earlier this year. Scott-Heron was 62.
