Last week we discussed some of the best books and writers from 2010. You can’t have sunshine without the rain, so today we’re going to look at some of the writers and their books that fell short of expectations.

J.T. Krul’s impact on the DC Universe has not been terribly impressive to me. The single worst story of the year, ‘The Rise of Arsenal’ was more than just cringe-worthy. At a DC panel I attended at San Diego Comic-Con this year, Dan DiDio spent quite a bit of time defending Krul and the overall storyline. Crowd response didn’t seem to reflect the positive spin being projected by DiDio, but you have to give him props for trying. Krul then t

With so many pizzerias in town, why would you ever drive more than a few blocks for a pie? Well, you know. Some pizzas are indeed worth going some lengths for. Bordenaros pies (see todays review on Page 7) and the goods at these pizzerias top my list:

After all, Geska was a dog owner, too. Williams would see him often walking his dogs up and down Fillmore Avenue. And they both shared a love of the same breed — the Pomeranian.

“He said he would look after Chico for me so he wouldn’t dart out the door while I was moving,” Williams said. “

It’s now all but confirmed that Dreamwork’s is aiming for a summer 2014 release of Transformers 4 and according to MTV, the film will be a reboot centering around evolution.   The network spoke with producer Lorenzo di Bonadventura at this year’s Toy Fair who said, “I think the challenge there is that we are really going to do a reboot and what’ that’s going to be, we don’t even know yet.”   He goes on to say, “It’s an evolution. There’s still continuity that’s going on, yet there will be a lot of new cast. Whether there’s anyone from the the first cast, we don’t even know yet. The trust is it’s going to be a whole new story.
